"RESHAPING HISTORY" visits Rio de Janeiro

The "Reshaping History: A Future for our Past" exhibition aims to increase professional awareness of the growing use of 3D technology in documenting and interpreting cultural heritage. It illustrates how 3D technology can be used in scanning and modelling artefacts, archaeological sites and monuments discussing and illustrating the value of 3D in conservation and reconstruction.

From the incredible tale of the striking medieval Italian bronze griffin to the mysteries of the ancient Egyptian temple of Abu Simbel, this exhibition travels the world to illustrate the latest in 3D scientific and technological innovation in the heritage sector and uncover the hidden secrets of our past. From 2nd September to 31th October 2014 it will be visiting Rio de Janeiro!

FGV/EMAp will host the "Reshaping History: a Future for our Past" exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, from 2nd September to 31th October 2014. The travelling exhibition is part of the VCC-3D initiative aiming at promoting the advance in the state-of-the-art 3D-digitisation and 3D-documentation as an everyday practical choice for the cultural heritage sector.
